The end of an era.

After painting nearly every surface on the main floor of our home(cabinets, trim, walls) it was time to tackle the ceiling. I was planning to paint the vaulted ceiling myself, beams and all, but one particularly bad eight hour day of taping and painting changed my mind. Instead, we hired a painter to spray the ceiling and replace the fluorescent lights in the kitchen with more modern globe pendants. Be sure to check out the awesomely mismatched shades of white in this first picture.

The paint color is Behr Ultra Pure White, and the pendants we used can be purchased here. I love how bright the ceiling looks, and that all of the white surfaces in our house match. Now onto the last frontier: the floors.
